Absu Jass team wins Vc Cup final.

The 2017 Convocation Final was a
football match played on 26th August 2017 at University Stadium in uturu that decided the winner of the 2016–17 season of the Convocation/VC cup match.

The 2017 final was the culmination of the both teams performance during tournament, and the 1st in the Convocation ceremony era in abia state University.

The final was contested by *JASS of sciences and *HUMANITIES* of Art . The match kicked-off at 3:45 . The venue, the new Pavilion , hosted its first University Cup final, having opened in 2005.The old Pavilion hosted the finals of vice chancellors in
2010 , 2011,2012, 2013 , 2014,2016 and 2017.

HUMANITIES FACULTY dominated the match, winning 4–0 with two goals from Jonathan aka dangerous , Goldfish and bright , securing their 1st Convocation match title.

The boys drilled us One of the JASS player said. The *HUMANITIES coach Udochukwu Emmanuel Ndukwe express happiness over his players display.he added "In the second half, we were spectacular. The intensity and pressure, and possession of the ball. The first half suffered a little because *JASS* attacked us."
