Eulogies as Prof Ikonne begins transisition as Vice Chancellor following end of tenure.

Tomorrow friday 27 November, 2020, all road leads to Abia State University pavilion for the end of tenure ceremony, in  Honour of a distinguished and accomplished academic, Professor E. Uche Ikonne,the out-going Vice-Chancellor of Abia State University.

Just like the Igbos will say "E Kele Dike na nke omere, ya e me ozo”, we believe that gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. We also believe that gratitude changes everything. We believe that feeling grateful and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow. 

We are indeed grateful to God Almighty for his unending grace, and to Professor Ikonne, for changing the story of our dear university for the better.

As the entire university authorities roll out drums to celebrate this colossus for a job well done. We therefore invite members of the academia, friends and all lovers of success to this ceremony,as it promises to be memorable.
