Abia State University today signed a memorandum of Understanding with resource partners in the areas of entrepreneurial studies.

Presenting the partners and their programmes to the Vice-Chancellor, the Director Center for Entrepreneurial Studies,Dr. Agu Samuel noted that the program is in-line with the administrative space of the current administration of the university,to ensure that students of the institution are equipped generally with vocational and entrepreneurial skills,which will enable them compete favourably with their counterparts all over the world.
He also stated that the partners and their programmes are as follows:

1. EDUCATION TRAINING & PROJECT MANAGMENT GROUP (ETPM):
*Solar panel production, installation & maintenance.
*Biogas production.
*Solar water heater production
*Cosmetics and soap making
*Health,Safety & environment training (HSE)....etc.
2. ABA BUSINESS PRODUCTION LTD:
*Cloths Knitting & textile Production
*Leather and foot wear production
*Bead making
*Book binding & production.... Etc.
3. EMLOG TECHNOLOGIES:
*Cosmetology and paint production.
*Web Design and Software development
*Voice and Instrumental training. etc...
4. KUDOS ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION LTD:
*Multipurpose liquid detergent
*Sodium hypochlorite for water treatment
*Dry Chemical powder for fire extinguisher
*Rig wash industrial detergent.. etc....

In his address,the Vice chancellor Professor E.Uche Ikonne welcomed the Director of Entrepreneurial Studies and his partners to this historic relationship that will bear good fruits,and noted that it has an academic content as it is a compulsory course that has been approved by the NUC for all undergraduate in Nigerian universities.
He also informed them that the state Government,led by Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu PhD,has maximum interest in this program as expressed practical through his Education for Employment Program (E4E).
Professor Ikonne further enjoined them to make their services available and affordable to the students so as to achieve the expected goal.
In a vote of thanks,the council to the Nigerian partners Barr. Ikpeoha, thanked the Vice-Chancellor and assured him of their maximum cooperation.
High point of the event was the singing of the Memorandum of Understanding by the both parties.
