OFFICIAL:ENUGU RANGERS SLIP AGAINST IFEANYI UBA FC.

NPFL MATCH DAY 31

The Flying Antelopes missed the chance to move
clear of the chasing pack, after they fell to the
Anambra Warriors on Wednesday
FC Ifeanyi Ubah 2-0 Enugu Rangers
Two brilliant goals saw FC Ifeanyi Ubah overcome Enugu
Rangers 2-0 in the Oriental Derby.
The powerful Flying Antelopes had looked a constant
threat in opening four minutes.
FC Ifeanyi Ubah were on the back-foot as they found
themselves up against a fired-up away team.
However, the Millionaire club's opener still arrived very
much from a likely source, as Alberico Da Silva netted.
The Brazilian born midfielder picked his spot and whipped
a free kick beyond the goalkeeper on six minutes.
Ifeanyi Ubah could have doubled their lead just six minutes
later when Seka Pascal miscued his half-volley slightly and
the effort went wide.
Rangers came out firing after the break, but Ifeanyi Ubah
once more pinned into their own bo x as they faced wave
after wave away attacks.
Once more the Warriors not only survived, but found the
net, substitute Chijioke Alakwe underlined just why he was
thrown into the fray with a world class finish.
Rangers failed to threaten Ifeanyi Ubah in the final 20
minutes of the game, as the hosts claimed the three
points.
