The Optometrist & Dispensing Opticians Registration Board Of Nigeria today paid a Courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Abia State University Professor Uche Ikonne.

 Professor Frank Iwuagwu said that they have come to congratulate Professor Ikonne on his elevation as the Vice-Chancellor of Abia State University,and to identify with him as a family.
He also stated that Professor Ikonne is the first Optometrist to assume the Post of Vice-Chancellor in Nigeria.


Further more, the Registrar/CEO of the Board, Professor Mrs Ebele B. Uzodike commended Professor Ikonne the for the good works he has been doing in Abia State University and prayed for Gods Continual grace.
 
She also presented some symbolic gift on behalf of the board to the Vice-Chancellor.
Responding, the Vice-Chancellor thanked them for identifying with him and his management team.
He also advised them on programs that will help promote the growth of the board.

He futher charged them to join him in this mandate of making Absu the best among.
In a vote of thanks the Dean faculty of Medicin Absu, Professor O.C Ahuama thanked the Vice-Chancellor for his unalloyed love and outstanding support towards the growth of the Association.
 
He further reassured him of their undiluted support.
High point of the visit was the exchange of gift by both parties and Special prayer for the growth of Prof.Ikonne's Administration.
