SRC suspends SUG Director For Socials

The Student Representative Council yesterday suspend the SUG Director of Social Comr Atu Chidera on grounds of gross misconduct, during the plenary session on the campus.
This was confirmed from the memo we received this morning from Hon precious Onyemachi who told us the recent development, in a memo he sent which reads below

NOTICE OF SUSPENSION OF THE SUG DIRECTOR OF SOCIALS COMRD. ATU CHIDERA.
Pursuant to section 55 (3) of the SUG Constitution which states that "the Students Representative Council shall have the right to suspend any member of the executive Council until such an officer exonerates himself or is pardoned or punished for all alleged misconduct".
The Students Representative Council (SRC) has in a unanimous decision in its sitting held on Friday June 24th 2016 suspended Comrd Atu Chidera the SUG Director of socials from his official functions for reasons of "gross misconduct". The SUG director of socials is hereby estopped from parading himself as the SUG DOS and all the documents of the Union in his possession should be transferred to the Chairman house committee on socials within 48hours.
Any absu student that deals with the aforementioned person as to any absu event does so at his/her own peril.
The aforementioned person remains suspended by the house till he faces the adhoc disciplinary committee of the SRC.

Absu vila reporters is yet to contact the suspend comrade to know more. In recent years, This is the first time a sitting comrade of social has suspended in the Union, we hope that the both parties reconcile and make up their differences before the next sitting.
