In his speech, the Chaplin, Venerable Ugochukwu Ihechukwu said that they have come to congratulate their member in faith, Professor Ikonne on his elevation to the post of Vice-Chancellor of Abia State University.
He also used the opportunity to invite the Vice-Chancellor to their upcoming fathering Sunday and thanked him for his unalloyed support towards the growth of the Chapel.
Venerable Ugochukwu further appealed to the Vice-Chancellor not withdraw his hands of Support towards the Chapel.
Reacting to his speech, the Vice-Chancellor thanked them for identifying with him and promised to continually help in the growth of the church as he remains a committed member of the Anglican Faith.
Professor Ikonne charged them to play their unique role in the development of the institution.
In a vote of thanks, the Secretary of the Chapel, Miss Sandra Odemelam thanked the Vice-Chancellor for his unalloyed love and support towards the Chapel.
High point of the visit was the presentation of special souvenir to Vice-Chancellor and a Special prayer on behalf of the Management of the institution
