Could their still be Greater Academic Glory in Absu.

Life we talk about has been built on success, yes and greatness has been built by successful stories..
It's easier to tell a story but the true actors of the story along the real-life dramatic walks do not find it much easier.
The scriptures clearly stated that success has reward, and even greater attachment .
This is the 21st century, and the Academic sphere of the globe has soo much been glorified by stories of people who did extremely well by virtue of intelligence or skills but basically revolving around the very citadel.
The human relation theory also layed greater emphasis on reward which we find as a great motivator and amazing drive towards a particular need.
It important to know and note that why people work hard today is to be appreciated and at the same time celebrated but is it just for celebration? No but to give an edge and set the track for more people to compete and strive towards attaining to that, even more greater..
But in a situation were these things failed to fall in place, failure and compelled Un-seriousness becomes inevitable.

The 24th Convocation ceremony of Abia state University uturu was Heralded, perhaps the most colorful Convocation according to spectator who sat beside me, the whole marauding fitted the colorful gazelled canopies of convocating students harmonized the whole serenity.
Yes I wasn't wishperd to that the senior citizen of the state was there, I was there, I saw him my self, he was dressed in Academie regalia.

Yes!!, he marched with vice Chancellor down to the arena, my heart was elated because the governor was present, and I thought 'happy are the best graduating students'.
I took my seat behind the brood of praise singers who sings at slightest view of any well to do Men, especially politicians,. Again I smiled because If Imo State University can give thier best graduating students great prizes, Absu will do better.
I paid attention to every every word coming from the loud speakers, after rigorous long speeches and commendations which seemed unending, behold the best students were called out.
I remember absuvila publishing names of the best graduating students., I quickly log into the website, checked thier names but behold two person were called out. 'the best from college of Medicine and the overall best. I was scared of going to snap these great figures because of the number of students-turned-press snapping them, the man called up to reward the best graduating student from the college of Medicine was hurried to hasten his speech, the old learned physician quickly gave his golden medal to the young medical doctor and walked down. I still manage to sit back on my seat but this time closer to the canopy, the overall best student went up to the podium, to deliver his Valedatory Speech, at this point in time, I focused my attention, my fantasy began evolve, I was expecting a aloud announcement of a whooping amount of money given to this young man, I expected the governor stand up, applaud and make a presentation of at least a car, I expected the University to honor this gentlemen before the presence of every one ... And perhaps it was never real.. Fantasy can be real bad.. For 18 minutes and 2 sec, this young man read his speech, I observed that no one seated at the corridor of power right behind him paid attention to his speech .. And after he walked down the podium.. Closing formalities were done and day moved into story books, headlines, news hour telecast...
I couldn't understand the future of the University from were I was sitting , I couldn't predict if there could be greater graduating students since the present best graduating were giving a mere handshake.
And mockingly one the guys who I later understand came from Imsu said 'finally Absu dey jons, they no even remember thier best students '.
As I stood on the sun baked canopy, 'I thought if the future will bring more greater and best graduating students, since the present wasn't glorified.`
