COMRADE AHAMEFULA ISRAEL DELIVERS HIS FAREWELL SPEECH-We will miss you Sir

A FAREWELL SPEECH PRESENTED BY COMRADE AHAMEFULA ISRAEL SANS. ON THE INAUGURATION CEREMONY OF THE 2014/2015 S.U.G EXCOS ON 3RD DAY OF JULY 2015. ALL PROTOCOLS: It is my privilege and honour to welcome you all to this auspicious occasion of the formal presentation of the hand-over note of my Administration to the incoming Administration of our Students Union Government Led by His Excellency, Comr Ugochukwu Majesty Chukwuemeka. I am scripting this piece, with an over-whelming sense of gratitude to God Almighty for his Grace and to the generality of the peace loving Students of Abia State University. Today in retrospect evidently brings to life how I was made a trusted instrument to fearlessly drive the much-expected new dawn in our Students Unionism, which was desirous of prosperity and a new lease of life. Our foremost concern was the welfare of our students. In keeping with the concern, the Israel Ahamefula led Administration engineered a process that began with the improvement of water supply in our hostels; resolving Network and Light problem which was a major issue then; Renovations of our Relaxation Center and Hostel Common rooms in Umuahia and Uturu Location respectively; Reduction of our Tuition fee through the help of the school management and the State Government which was the Zenith Desire of our Students during the Inception of our Administration. It is also worthy to note that we encountered so many problem which include lack of Internal Generated Revenue and The fearful auto Accident which claimed the lives of two persons leaving the third person useless. Today I will be joining the league of President emeritus, this will not be possible if I fail to appreciate the brains spar-heading the little success stories recorded by my Administration. First and foremost, I will like to thank God almighty for his Grace which is the reason for my existence. My unreserved appreciation goes to the Management, Staff and Students of our Institution, The State Government and the University Community at large. Charity they say begins at home. I will never forget the unalloyed support of my Excos. Your Names will ever remain in the Good-books of life and History will never forget you. To my Lovely Contemporaries,Obinna Prince Chibuike,Oluchi Kalu,Kingsely Onykaba,Ubani Stanly,Uche Nwankpa, Enyinnayi Iwejuo; Amaku Kelechukwu Michael,kelvin,Chimaobi Iroaja ,Fynest Onyenso,Goodness Ujor;Ejikoma Justice;Chidinma Izima; Fredrick Israel and many others, You are sincerely Men with a heart of Gold. This appreciation wont be complete if I fail to give a sweet kiss to my Besty, Miss Onyenso Mercy, Please Permit me to address her as Her Excellency. I humbly pray for continuity. In summary, Your Excellency, distinguished ladies and gentlemen, our administration has done its best to intervene robustly and impact positively on key aspects of our Union.  There is no doubt that challenges still abound, but they are surmountable and overwhelming national transformation remains realizable, with continuity, commitment and consistency. I hear by charge the Incoming Admistration to live their foot prints in sands of time. As we hand over the reins of government, I believe that our Union is secure, our democracy is stable, and the future is bright. Let us all work together, and with greater resolve, continue to build a stronger and more prosperous Union. Before I rest my case; If if have wounded any soul during the cause of my service in Absu, I humbly plead for your forgiveness. Better days are still ahead. I Have Just Learnt One Thing in Leadership during my service in Absu and that is TO BE A LITTLE MORE PATIENT IN LIFE. It has been “DEVOTED LEADERSHIP deriving its INSPIRATIONS from you.
